Well, well...what a weekend!!

It's been full on and I'm a sleepy girl...plus a little sad...and also pretty excited...and a little eek!!!

Friday night was a drive down to Edinburgh with the folks and then dinner with the Scotland section of the Texas crew (the lovely people paying a small fortune to come to the wedding!) and then a few wee drinkies afterwards.


Then Saturday, I woke up and sauntered into town in the sun (on what used to be my walk to work which was quite weird) to meet my hens for a wee pamper session and then afternoon tea. Got my toes made all pretty, drank fizz, chatted, got adorned in my custom veil that Lauren made me (got a few looks in town with that!!). Then off to the Caledonian where we stuffed ourselves silly with cakes and scones.

Mad dash home to change (identity ;) ) for the evening and off to arrive fashionably late for my own party (gotta be done, right? ;) ). Had a fab night and was impressed with the outfits! Did my best to try and make the rounds and make sure I saw and spoke to everyone and unfortunately couldn't get out of the sad goodbyes that came later on in the evening, though I stayed more composed than I thought I would (at the party anyway...poor Chris got the brunt of it when I got home instead!).

And then there was today...a wee lie in and then we jumped in the sea!! :D Nipped down to Portobello beach in the ever strange Scottish weather, had a bite to eat and a coffee then some of us dooked! Thanks to Ross, Rich and Tom for accompanying me into the frozen Scottish waters (twice!!), much kudos!!!

I had a lovely weekend and am only sorry that it had to end with goodbyes (for now!!).

I am now back up north for a few more days, I've washed the sea out of my hair and about to have a well earned rest...all that sea air (and water!) fairly takes it out of you!
